Wild Season End

Friday, April 24th, 2009

The Minnesota Wild’s season is over, it was a season of difficulties, injuries and successes highs and lows with excitement and frustrations. Jacque LeMeire has coached the Wild from the start and is considering calling it quits and retiring from coaching. I think that it may be time for the Minnesota Wild to move another direction, while Coach Limier looks over his options the other coaches are chopping at the bit to move in to the lead spot. What one of the assistant coaches dissevers a chance to move up? What direction with they take the team and will they finally open up the players so they can shoot the puck when they have the option? While under Limier, the Wild have found some success, they need to find the way past the basic success and win the Stanley Cup, Yes they need to find a way to bring the Cup to the State Of Hockey!

While stand out players keep moving up from Huston, Marion Gaborik in what could quite possibly be his last game in a Wild Sweater play his best game that I have ever seen him play. Gaborik only really lost the puck one time that I remember, Brunette played his game that was great to see, and Meko Koivu was rocking the ice, Backstrom, and solid as a backstop! Do the Wild hold the ability to win the cup? No, but two or three core players could bring the cup to Minnesota where it rightly belongs.

As a fan and a season ticket holder I felt a little ripped off. Every year the Wild end the season by giving the Jersey off their back to the fans, this is done on the last home game, this year they did it on the second to last home game, now you may say so? However, as the season ticket owner I take the last game just for that reason, so I have a chance to win a jersey, so the second to last game this year was not my game and the last game just seamed like any other game in the season. By the way I have four other people in my group, so we split the tickets five ways, the person that had the second to last home game did not win a jersey either. She told us that it was rigged, because most of the winners were in the club level then the suite level then the main level then the upper level, why do they do that. I have been a season ticket holder from the start, many of the club tickets are owned by business, and they give tickets to who ever, most never go to games more than once or twice a year, to me that just does not seem fare.

Gabby and playoffs

Saturday, March 28th, 2009

Now that Gaborik is back in the lineup will he have enough time to score enough goals to get the Wild into the playoffs?

At this point I hope not, I think the only reason he is playing right now is because he is looking for that BIG free agent contract and he will only get that if he shows he can  be the star they need him to be, score goals and play hard, Gaborik wants to play in the East.

So now what, the Wild WILL lose Gabby at the end of the season and if we make the playoffs we will be even more screwed because we will not get a good draft pick unless we trade a good player to move up.

Gaborik 2

So Gabby and the Wild are both stuck, no trades nothing… There is a very good chance that Gabby will walk away from the Wild and leave them in a bind. See Gabby needs season ending surgery on his hip so kiss him good bye for this season.

I am not sure what is going to happen in the next year but the Wild need to find some one to replace Gaborik as soon as possable and get a team that is really a Play-Off Contender. Lets get the Wild back on track and help them move forward to a real run for the CUP!

Marion GlassBrick Gaborick

Marion GlassBrick Gaborik

Marion Gaborik, This  Trencin, Slovak Republic hockey player has never played up to the potential they thought he could be.  Everyone even myself thought that we were getting a great player, but after the third year I had enough of his lack luster play. Marion plays when he wants to and that is not very offen, he mishandles the puck and constantly passes the puck to the other team. He has misses 27 games in the season 2008/09 this has been a year in and year out problem. 2000/01 he missed 10 games, 2001/02 he missed 4 games, 2002/03 he missed 1 games, 2003/04 he missed 17 games, 2004/05 he missed 82 games walk out/lockout, 2005/06 he missed 17 games, 2006/07 he missed 34 games, 2007/08 he missed 5 games and in 2008/09 he has missed 27 games so far. even after getting a but raise he still does not play like he wants to be on the Wild. This year the fans are even booing him and Gabbies kids. He is not a a roll model or a model for kids in need. He shows his greed by always wanting more or he will not play and if he does not get his time on the ice it seems to us fans that he takes the night off and does not try at all. The fact is that Gaborik is not worth the money he is paid by the Wild {8+ million a year}

What will the Wild do and when will they pull the trigger. I say get what you can for him and get it now. before he gets hurt again. it is time for the trade and long over due. trade him now and get it over with. so the team and fans can get over this cancer.
